MALADAPTIVE
Type of Work: Short Film
Duration: 2 Months
Designers: Nicole Prasetia

Project Overview:
Maladaptive is a 10 min experimental short film exploring the mundanity of everyday routine and the deterioration of reality as we get engrossed in daily life through my own experiences daydreaming.

Throughout the development of this film, I had many conversations with others about their own daydreams. People daydream in boring situations and I realize some people use their phones to daydream for them. I realize that Instagram reels and Tiktok are designed similar to the way I experience daydreaming. Sudden changes in scenarios, and if it was a boring scenario, I would change and skip it in my brain.

This project allowed me to delve into the process of digital filmmaking and audio production.
