Exploration of the 5 Senses (2022)
Designers: Nicole Prasetia, Jocelyn Lee
This fabrication project is a part of a larger collaborative piece which explores the senses. This particular one explores sight shifting 2D form to 3D using light and perspective. The piece resembles a drop of water which creates ripples on the surface of the water.

Reimagining of the set of Joker & question reality tv show
Done in UAL as a part of set design for television and film short course

storyboarding: face off

A young Man stares at himself in the mirror, bruised after a fight.

The music swells to high intensity when suddenly the strings snaps under the tension (Black and white)

A Scene turns black and white representing a flashback sequence to the fight he lost. Homage to Hero dir. Zhang Yimou

Camera cuts to a sliced off weapon of our protagonist, signaling his defeat (Black and white).
The music starts up as the fight sequence begins with a close up shot to the musicians hands playing a guqin. (Black and white)
The fight begins as they clash weapons the music picks up as the tension rises. (Black and white)

Scene cuts back to present time as the protagnoist grows restless looking at his reflected image

Slowly the camera pans revealing a reflected image of himself holding out two pills, one red one blue. He must make a desicion. Homage to The Matrix dir. The Wachowskis

Camera focuses and pushes in on the reflected image of himself wearing a black and white Gi , Tension rises
Our protagonist makes a desicion and reaches for the red pill that will change his life forever only to find a barrier, a force, blocking his way
In an act of determination, he smashes through the mirror reaching out to face his mirrored self
The darkness of the space transforms the set into the dojo from the training scene
in The Matrix where. Here our protagonists fights his mirrored self

The shot transitions to another training montage , a homage to The last Samurai Dir. Edward zwick. Set in a grassy meadow, he trains with his mirrored self wearing Kimonos
The battle ends with a stalemate as both him and his mirrored self point their wooden swords at each others necks
Switching back to The Matrix training montage, Our protanonist performs the iconic punch that bends the laws of reality
The shot ends with him stopping the punch right before it hits his mirrored self

The training ends with them bowing to each other
As our protagnist rises from the bow, he transitions to his samurai self and finally into a modern office attire suit. The interior changes from a dojo to a modern office space
The camera pans to show he is once again
face to face with his enemy which face and
hair still remain the same as his old self. The only thing different being the suit he is wearing
Our protagonist walks up to his enemy and offers him a choice, red pill or blue pill? fin.
